Description
Here is a kit based of a pre war L00. This is a little deeper that the typical L00. The kit is based off the Lucas style. The braces are typical of the period , very tiny but the produce that sound they were famous for. The back and sides are Maple , the neck is also maple and ties in. The headstock is more martin style. There is a skunk stripe down the neck. The sides are bent, trimmed and contoured to the Loo shape. this is a dovetail joint
this is a 12 fret kit. 24.9 scale and all parts are in the carton. The top is a nice red spruce. These guitars are often painted black or sun burst. I have the traditional cream binding but added a purfling of tortoise to tie into the rosette. There are 1/4 in mop dots included for the fretboard but are not set , as you may want to do something different. There is an ebony head plate. The tuners have the Gibson style button.
The ebony fret board is radiused and slotted. 1 3/4 in at the nut and spacing is 2 1/8 in at the bridge
