D 42 Martin style kit. Red spruce top East Indian Rosewood BRW head veneer

$1,200.00

Description

This kit is rather involved so please feel free to ask questions.

Back and side set is high grade East Indian rosewood  bent, trimmed, and contoured for a 14 fret dred.

the neck is dovetail  1 3/4 nut  2 1/4 spacing  but it is a bound board. You will do that when you build because with the 42 top  you have to set the neck and then do all the mitering.  You will see that there is all the paua here for you.  I make you inlay sticks and I had mitered the upper end so you can see there is a bass and treble side. You will have to inlet the top  , again after you set and trim the neck. The binding is Ivroid and it will all get mitered. The head stock has a torch inlay.  Bone nut and saddle

This is a very high end kit.  The binding is about the last of the Grained Ivroid. There is b/w/b to frame the pearl.  Please look at the miter sticks and put the thin black against the pearl. The pearl for this is flexible , it has the pearl on a rubber backing so no poly is needed. It will glue in find and may I recommend to use DUCO cement.

The fretboard has the inlay of the 42/45 snowflake.  It is radiused and slotted. The neck is a 2 way truss rod.

the top and back bracing is Red spruce Scalloped and pre war brace style , forward shifted 5/16. Maple plate.  The ebony bridge is drop in.

all parts are included down to the strings.  Tuners are Gold Grover butter bean.  Brazilian rosewood head plate.
