Description

this is based off an early 1930’s gibson L00 that was in the shop. The braces are to the era , they are .220 and 1/2 in high as they were in these days. I have made a few guitars with this set up and the make fantastic instruments.

The back and sides were resawn from a log that was found at the bottom of a lake. The top is a typical top of red spruce and it is a multi piece top. This was typical to the gibson sunburst tops.  The top is thinned to the spec and bracing is plotted for you. The scale length is 24.75 in. Nut is 1 3/4 in and 12th fret and bridge is 2 1/4 in. Ebony fret board and bridge ,  bridge pins are also ebony. I was out of pickguard but the proper pick guard will be sent along.

all parts down to the strings are included.  The dots are inlaid as you can see.  The sides are bent , trimmed and contoured to the L00 shape.   The braces are X ,  and all braces are pre shaped but there is some there to voice the top.  These were not scalloped and you have 1 finger brace and 2 tone bars. there is a tail piece included .

the maple bridge plate is to period.  The bridge is a simple rectangular. Bone nut and saddle included.  The tuners are 3 on a plate with white buttons as were they spec of the period.  The neck has a 2 way rod and the access it though the neck block.  Ebony head plate is included.  The back is also thinned and brace locations are traced out for you.  Fret board is slotted and radiused , scale to 24.75 and  neck is dovetail.

this is typical of Gibson that the body shape is the same as the 14 fret. The fretboard has 28 fret. No slot head
