Description
This is Honduran Mahogany back and sides with red spruce top. The braces are scalloped 5/16 red spruce. The neck is mahogany and it does have a valoute.The head stock veneer is rosewood and not glued on for ease in the inlay process. The fretboard is Ebony with Paua short scale diamond and square. All parts are included down to the string.
Bone nut and saddle , and the bridge is ebony pyramid. Nut with is 1 3/4 and bridge spacing is 2 1/4. The kit is based off prewar specs. The rosette and purfling are typical martin style 18 appearance. The top and back have the bracing locations plotted for you. They are thicknessed and ready to go. the proper mold for this kit is the 000-12 mold. The binding is tortoise, pickguard will be included.
