Description
This is based off of a 1950s Gibson model J50.
The basic specs on this kit are
1= 14 fret Mahogany back and side
2 nut spacing 1 3/4 in
3 string spacing 2 1/4
4 Ebony fret board and bridge
5 Ebony head veneer included not glued on
6 off white binding with a black white purfling
7 dovetail neck
8 Grover tuners
The mahogany on this is nice and well quartered. Sides are bent, trimmed, and contoured for the Gibson shape. The neck is dovetail 1 3/4 nut and 2 1/4 spacing
this is a 24.75 scale length. The ebony fret board is radius and slotted with mop dots installed. All bracing locations are plotted for you. The braces are red spruce and maple bridge plate. The braces are thinner than 5/16 and shaped to a gibson style.
There is a 2 way truss rod and all parts are included.
